Cricketers Allysa Healy and Heather Knight, had urged the International Cricket Council ( ICC ), to sort out the inequalities present in womens' game. This document of 31 pages has been submitted to FICA (Federation of Cricketers' Association), which consists of many issues. After 2018, this has been the second time where top cricketers came out, rising about the importance of women's cricket.  The first thing, these two have asked to sort out is to add funds for developing women's cricket. Insufficient funds, making the team competition less when compared to the men's. Just after the finish of 2020 Indian Premier League on October 10th, there were many sources spreading news that, in 2021 Indian Premier League, there will be an addition of two teams in which one will be from Gujarat. Also, as two teams getting added, there will be a mega auction for all teams, enabling them to retain only 5 members, while the remaining will go under the hammer of auction. This news weren't officially confirmed yet. But, now BCCI source confirmed that, the call on addition of new IPL teams will be taken on December 24.  What happens on December 24 ? An official announcement has came that, women's cricket is officially be a part of Commonwealth Games in 2022. It is the only second time after 1998's Kuala Lumpur edition, that cricket has been included in Commonwealth Games and also the first time that women's cricket is a part of Commonwealth Games. This is a starting step for cricket to become a global sport. Also, this is seen as the main step for women's cricket to get much more recognition.  The eagerness for 2022's Commonwealth Games has begun right here, as Cricket, getting a spot. England women cricket team has qualified automatically, as being the hosts. Also, other six top ranked national sides in T20Is will qualify ( ranking as of April, 2021 ) and the spot for last side, that is the eighth side, will have a qualification round.
