During last year, at the month of November, New Zealand Cricket Board has released their summer schedule with confirming that, each and every series will go as per planned. Same as their words, the test series against West Indies and Pakistan , went on as per the schedule with New Zealand winning both the series. At South Africa, due to the second wave of Corona Virus targeting each and every people, irrespective of their background, with cases raising day by day at an average of 10,000 numbers, Cricket Australia have decided to postpone this tour . So, hence this tour has been postponed with both cricketing boards agreeing to the reasons mutually.  South Africa was experiencing over 10,000 positive cases every day, with a peak of 21,980 on January 8.
