Ireland vs UAE and Cricket News - 2021
After a continuous stream of news relating about international cricket, let us turn our focus towards the associate nations, participating in this game. Ireland cricket team is scheduled to play seven One Day International games, at this month, in which four is scheduled to play against United Arab Emirates, whereas the remaining three will be played against Afghanistan. All the seven games are scheduled to take place at United Arab Emirates.
In these seven games, the first four games against United Arab Emirates have begun today, at Sheikh Zayad International Stadium, located in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Looking onto the wicket, Irish cricket team have won the toss and chose to bat first. The choice of decision is worth but not the score on board, as Irish team have slowed down a bit during the middle part of the game. Paul Stirling puts up, yet another show with bringing up his 10th One Day International Century. He took 147 balls to score unbeaten 131 runs, which is the only soul present in Irish batting. Also, Andrew Balbirnie once again played run a ball innings, scoring 53 off 61 balls, with playing most of the shots using soft hands. But, during the middle course of overs, Ireland lost 3 quick wickets, which broke their momentum. Although Gareth Delany, hit some quick boundaries, the score weren't enough. Ireland scored 269/5 at the end of 20 overs.
United Arab Emirates team, came into bat, They maintained their run rate very well. Chundaganpoyil Rizwan and Mohammad Usman, scored centuries which ensured their win quite comfortably, inspite of some drama in the end. Curtis Campher, does well with the ball, picking up 2 wickets for mere 31 runs in his quota of 10 overs. While others started to bowl as much as loose deliveries. Irishmen's real issue are their lack of controlling the runs. Yet, this will a memorable win for United Arab Emirates.
Other three One Day matches are scheduled on 10th, 12th and 14th of January respectively. All games will be played at Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
After this series, the matches against Afghanistan will definitely come under ICC ODI Super League. So, the three match series against Afghanistan is more crucial, whereas the series against United Arab Emirates will be an early preparation for the ICC ODI Super League.
Now, there are some news related to Ireland vs Afghanistan cricket series. Orginally, this tour was scheduled immediately after the series against United Arab Emirates. For travelling, UAE Government first rejected the permission from Afghanistan cricket team. They planned to schedule it in Oman. Then, UAE Government provided allowance, which made them to travel a bit later. So, as Afghanistan cricket team travelled later, their quarantine period got extended, making this tour to postpone for a week time.
As per revised schedule, the matches will be held on 21st, 24th and 26th of this month, with all matches be played at Abu Dhabi.
