Ranji Trophy was scrapped for the first time in 87 years, as there weren't any possible time to stage this series, in a span of two months. After so much speculations, BCCI have finally announced that, after the conclusion of ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy, Vijay Hazare Tournament will be staged. This decision is taken in considering all the collective measures out there.  During last year, there were discussions on staging only Ranji trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for 2020/21 domestic cricket season . But, after considering the situation, they have ruled out Ranji trophy and scheduled Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for domestic season 2020/21. After, announcing their inclusion of Yo-Yo Test , in the fitness manual of Bangladeshi Cricket Team along with maintaining its previous fitness method.
