Happy Birthday Christopher Austin Lynn

Chris Lynn

Chris Lynn born at Brisbane on 10th April 1990. We knew some batsman, who plays only on hitting, while some may play patiently and build the innings, while some may be able to do both building and accelerating an innings. Chris Lynn is a kind of first type, where he knows only one, just to watch the ball and smash it for humongous sixes. His main idea is just to smash the ball out of the park. He don't care which bowler are you, what have you done in International Cricket,.. etc. Few players like Virender Sehwag, Chris Gayle, Andre Russell, Mathew Hayden so on, play their natural hitting game.

But due to his explosive hitting, he was better known in domestic T20 leagues than in International Cricket across the world. He had played just 4 One Day Internationals and 18 T20 Internationals, scoring just few runs, and no matches in Test Cricket. But I personally feel that, Australian cricket team should pick him as an opener in T20I for the upcoming series, which would be a major boost in the approaching T20 World Cup, later this year, which is held in their own country. He can create miracles in T20 cricket.

He has represented T20 domestic teams across the World, and made himself a mark in each and every T20 league. Let us start with India. For Indian Premier League ( IPL ), he had represented Deccan Chargers in 2011 and 2012, but got chance only in one match. In 2013, he represented Sunrisers Hyderabad, but didn't got chance. In 2014 - 2019, He played for Kolkata Knight Riders, and created magic for them. His quick 19 ball 50 against Gujarat Lions in 2017, 22 ball 50 against Royal Challengers Bangalore, where his combination with Sunil Narine, scoring 104 runs in 6 overs, were pure destruction to watch. In 2020, he was picked up by Mumbai Indians

In Australian Big Bash T20 League, he is the King. He was awarded Player of the Tournament, not once but twice in Big Bash League. He also were Leading Run Scorer of the tournament, thrice. A Brisbane Heat opener, heats the opponents brain, just by his starts. Also scored a hundred, 101 off just 51 balls against Hobart Hurricanes.

Also, he represents Tribago Knight Riders, and one of the few players to represent both Kolkata Knight Riders and Tribago Knight Riders. Also he represents Lahore Qualantars in Pakistan Super League.

If Australian team pick him in the T20I side, ahead of the T20 WorldCup, they can even clinch their maiden T20I Title, in their own backyard.
