Australia Post COVID-19 cricket schedule

Cricket Australia has announced its fixtures for its 2020-21 summer season. They have constituted a schedule in the period starting from August to the start of February. It includes mainly Border Gavaskar Trophy and also some limited overs cricketing action is present. Also, it is formed based on its speedy recovery from Corona Pandemic.

Kevin Roberts, the CEO of Cricket Australia, has however mentioned that , this schedule is flexible in its ways. It might change depending upon the pandemic situation and also the functioning of Governmental Bodies. Also, it is good to see these news and able to rejoice and kick start our regular life with even more bigger craze than before.

Also, they would go by the acts in accordance with the Public Health Advice and per the functioning of governmental officials. 

As, I have mentioned in the previous blog, about the uncertain concerns over the T20I series to be played in October. But, now, in the schedule it has been mentioned about the fixtures of T20I series against India but all is in the hands of Corona.

The schedule starts in the month of August, with Australia playing against Zimbabwe, in three ODI bilateral series, at their home ground. It is on the dates 9th, 12th and 15th of the month, in which the venues for first two ODIs are yet to be decided while the third match will in Riverway Stadium, located in Townsville respectively.

Then, at the month of October, it faces off against West Indies in a three match T20I series. It starts at October 4, in Riverway Stadum at Townsville, followed by the 2nd T20I on 6th of October, at Cazaly's Stadium in Cairns. Then, it ends on October 9th at Metricon Stadium located at Gold Coast.

Now, the regular venues would feature. From 11th of October, Aussie cricket team in scheduled to play against India, in a three match Bilateral T20I series. First T20I is played at Gabba, Brisbane. The second one is played on Manuka Oval, Canberra at 14th of October. Then, the last match is played on October 17th at Adelaide Oval.

Then it faces Afghanistan on November 21-25 at Perth for its only Test match.

Then, the Border Gavaskar Trophy test series, starting at December 3 at Gabba, followed by a day/night test match at Adelaide Oval, in 11th od December. Then, the famous Boxing Day Test, at Melbourne on 26th December. Finally, the last one is played on 3rd of January at Sydney.

Then, the certain clarification about the ODI series against India, has also been cleared with a neat schedule in the early of January. The series starts at January 12th, played at Perth. Then, the 2nd ODI match is played at Melbourne on 15th of January. Then, the third match is played at 17th of January in Sydney.

Then, another three match ODI series is played by Australia, but this time their opposition is New Zealand. It starts of January 26 and gets concluded at January 31 with the second one it played in January 29th. Adelaide Oval, Manuka Oval ant Blundstone Arena, hosts the three ODI matches respectively. 

Finally, the Only T20I against New Zealand, is played at 2nd of February, in Sydney Cricket Ground.

But, again I mention that this schedule might tend to change with respect to both the functioning of Government and the Effect of Corona Virus.
