NZ Woman makes history

We have heard many things that, Woman are little lesser in Physical strength when compared to Men, so woman can't tackle men. Particularly in cricket, we have seen men hitting sixes easily whereas women don't possess. But, this news might shock you. It also may change your opinion and I think that this might see some equality in real life.

On this day, exactly two years ago, New Zealand Women's Team also called as the White Ferns, made the highest ever ODI team score in cricket history. I repeat, it's not highest ever team score in WOMEN'S Cricket, its Highest ever team score in Cricketing history. Facing Ireland at Dublin, in 2018 Bilateral Series' first ODI match, NZ Women went on to put a mamooth 491 runs on the board. In Men's cricket, the highest ever ODI team score is 481/5, posted by England against Australia on the same year. So, now lets get into the match.

The White Ferns have won the toss and decided to bat first. White Ferns Captain Suzin Bates and debutant Jess Watkin, had started the innings so aggressively with hitting a flurry of boundaries. Particularly, the shots hit at off side were pure bliss to watch. Both made half centuries before Jess Watkin, holding out at mere 62 runs. Their partnership was 172 runs at just 19 overs, which is as quick as in T20 Cricket. Even Jess Watkin had been dismissed, the speed at which the innings were started, didn't drop much. Then, Maddy Green joined hands with Captain Suzin Bates, and both made centuries. Suzin Bates scored 151 off just 94 balls while Maddy Green scored 122 off just 77 balls only. They were racing at a run rate inching above 9 per over. This partnership added 116 runs for the 2nd wicket and then Maddy Green scored along with Amelia Kerr, with Amelia Kerr, known for her best finishes, finished the innings quickly with 45 ball 81 runs and They posted 491/4 at the end of 50 overs. Also, the innings comprised of bulky 64 fours and 7 sixes.

In chase, Ireland were never been in the hunt and were bowled out for poor 144 runs. It is the fourth highest win in terms of runs margin in New Zealand's cricket history. Also, Cara Murray, an Irish Leggie, conceeded 119 runs in 10 overs, the most expensive bowling figures in ODI history.

Many might say, that Ireland is not a tougher one to defeat but I say they are unpredictable because they are known for striking hard against the Top nations in cricket. Even though being low at rankings, they are no longer a weaker side. Also, it shows that women has that striking ability. Here, it is about the way people look at men as superior in physical strength when compared to women, and the way men gets treated bit ruthless when compared to women, its bit cautious in handling them. Also, in boxing, wrestling men and women, both are shining equally. In cricket, right now, both are getting much response. So, hence both men and women are equal in each and every terms.
