Postponement of India vs Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe tours
Indian Cricket team were scheduled to tour Sri Lanka for 3 ODIs and 3 T20I matches, on 24th June. Also, they were scheduled to travel Zimbabwe for 3 ODI match series, on 22nd of August. But, the news came out as that both the tours were postponed indefinitely due to the outbreak of COVID_19 Pandemic all around the world.
In India, the number of corona cases have hiked to 3 lakhs of people with deaths counting 2000+. In over all world, it is in NO.4 position in Most Corona Affected Countries of the World. While, Sri Lanka hasn't got much affected.
Board of Control for Cricket in India ( BCCI ), were interested in resumption of cricket. But, they are also very keen in following restrictions imposed by the Government of India. Other than that, they are so concerned about the health and safety of players. They also, needed to get permission from both Government of India and also the Health Advisory Committee.
Indian Cricketers need atleast 6 weeks of training, to be back in perfect form, and they are very concerned that, they will start resumption of cricket, once the pandemic gets back to normal and also it is safe to play outdoors.
Two days before, we might have seen the news that IPL will surely premier this year, even in closed door, which was said by Sourav Ganguly, BCCI President. But, now the tours to Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe have been postponed indefinitely. So, it is seen that still each and every boards are so flexible as respective to the situation, and any decisions might be taken.
So, stay home and stay safe. Be healthy and hygienic in this crisis situation. Also, don't go outdoors much.
