2020 Caribbean Premier League - Schedule Announcement
We all known the impact of Corona Virus Pandemic at all over the world. This atrocious disease, have been ruling the earth for more than 4 months as of now. It had impacted each and every life in this Earth and created a rift, havoc and disturbance. The Earth takes a deep breath after its continuous running, all around.
When it comes to sports, many events got cancelled and ultimately were postponed to infinite dates, as gathering of people will definitely affect each and every one's health. Also, to create a safer environment to play, each and every sporting authorities worked hard.
Then, they created a plan and one by one, slowly, each and every sport had started to begun. At the month of July, England - West Indies series had begun. With the series kick starting the resumption of cricket, each and every cricketing boards, came up themselves to draft a schedule for their upcoming tours.
In those other cricketing boards, West Indies Cricket Board released a statement about Caribbean Premier League ( CPL), their own T20 League. After the resumption of cricket, they have decided to kick start the tournament on August 18, with some restrictions.
Each and every franchise weren't much clear about the plan of WICB ( West Indies Cricket Board). They have announced the regulations, isolation period and services, which kept each of them at dilemma.
To keep a full stop for these dilemma, West Indies Cricket Board, have released a full proposed schedule for the tournament. This schedule begin on 18th of August and concludes the tournament at 10th of September, just closer period to a month. Six Teams would be featuring and the first match is between Tribago Knight Riders and Guyana Amazon Warriors, at Brian Lara Cricket Academy Ground, located at Tarouba.
Matches were played at only two stadiums. One is Brian Lara Cricket Academy Ground, at Tarouba and the other one is at Queen's Park Oval located at the Port of Spain. Number of Corona Cases have been under control at West Indies Country. Also, it is reported that, even though it is played in front of empty crowds, the standards will be set even more higher than before.
This might not affect the players who were also a part of Indian Premier League, as it ends 9 days prior to the beginning of Indian premier League Tournament, in this year. I feel that, the three month halt makes the cricket even more better and best than before.
