Happy Birthday James Anderson
On this day, at 1982, Jimmy Anderson was born at Lancashire, England. He made his debut for English cricket team during the age of 19, at 2002, where he had ultimately played just 5 List A Matches for Lancashire. If we take a look into his cricketing career, we will literally be able to know to the hardships of being a fast bowler. He is one of the few quick bowlers to be playing in the International Circuit for more than 15 years. The Success and Failures in his career were so immense, which each and every cricketer in the world should needed to learn from him, for betterment of their careers.
Being an English, tall right arm fast bowler, he has immense competition right from the start with the likes of Simon Jones, Steve Harmison, Mathew Hoggard, Andrew Flintoff etc. His career were a graph of fall and rise, just like the frequency waves.
He played his first match against Australia and his debut came before receiving his county cap. After his impressive debut, he was featured in 2003 Cricket World Cup Tournament, and were brilliant in his spells. Now, the problem is the competition and also emergence of new bowlers. So, he is on a regard to compete with them. He did it well and still is fighting well. He had developed a wobbling seam bowling, which helped him in some tough spin friendly conditions. Other than that, he has been so effective in his swing bowling and particularly his reverse swing deliveries.
His hard work and perseverance, made the statement of Bob Willis, to be proven wrong. Right now, his age is 38, and as a fast bowler, he has been still playing in the England Test Cricket Side. He also holds the record for claiming most wickets as a fast bowler in tests with 589 wickets and also the 4th most wicket takers of Test Cricket. He has bowled most deliveries in Test Cricket as a fast bowler. He is also the first English Bowler to play for 150 Test Matches.
