ICC Laws of Cricket - Interesting News

Marylebone Cricket Club ( MCC) were once been the official governing body of all cricket activities, which were now fully taken over by International Cricket Council ( ICC ). But, the efforts took by MCC, has been needed to be mentioned separately. They were the one to constitute a book called as "Laws of Cricket". This book was released at 1744 and its primary way of use, is to designate the laws and rules of cricket to be at International Stage.

This book has 42 laws which 7 codes have been redrafted and published with the latest getting released on October, 2017 and made mandatory in use during the April month of 2019. This book is officially maintained by Marylebone Cricket Club at London. These laws can be found on ICC's official website.

Now, the news is that, BCCI's ex-umpire Rajiv Risodkar, translates the book, Laws of Cricket into Hindi version. Risodkar, served for BCCI, during the term, 1997-16.  Presently, he is a BCCI Level 3 umpire educator and in the last two decades, he has trained two umpires.

Belonging to MPCA ( Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association), it is a matter of pride for them, as he became the first one to translate it to Hindi. In our country, where cricket is seen as a matter of craze and also respected as more than sport, it is necessary for each and every individual to understand its laws before watching the game. Primarily, this helps and this might be found on the official website of Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC).

Also, he said, it took just a month of time to translate this book and release it. But, this is not over yet. This book needs to get translated in other important regional languages of India, for developing the knowledge of cricket, all over the country.
