Postponement of Asia Cup 2020

The Whole of the world is getting affected and are still struggling to move on due to the contagious virus spread, called as " Novel Corona Virus" which is also called as " COVID - 19". Okay, we have witnessed the first cricket match after a three month lock down, known as the Wisden Trophy. But, still the beginning of a multi national tournament is on the hold. 

As per reports, unofficially the T20 World Cup of this year's business end, has been postponed to the upcoming years. With this news, two days before, in an Instagram Live Chat, Sourav Ganguly, the President of BCCI ( Board of Cricket Council of India ), has said to Aaj Tak Channel that the Asia Cup Tournament of this year's has been cancelled. Many other Asian Cricketing Boards have been in confusion, stating that they haven't officially received any statement regarding this. But, now, Asian Cricketing Council, has officially released a press statement, mentioning that they have postponed this year's Asian Cup Tournament has been postponed to next year. Also, they have mentioned that the rights to host the tournament has been swapped from PCB ( Pakistani Cricket Board ) to SLC ( Srilankan Cricket Board), and they were looking for a window during the month of June at 2021.

You, might be asking, What is Asia Cup Tournament ?. The name itself suggests the definition. The multi team tournament, consisting of only Asian Cricketing Nations. This tournament gets held alternative years. This tournament has an history of 36 years, with its first tournament getting hosted at UAE, in 1984.

This news, came out as a shock but this should be done, as the whole world is under threat of corona. Each country has different number of situations and different kinds of restrictions. So, just think of a situation when it all comes together.

Hence, when a thing gets postponed due to a crisis, the result and its effect will be even more better than before. For this phrase, a simple example is of Wisden Trophy Test Series.
