Right now, Each and every International cricket team are preparing for the resumption of cricket in their country. With the founders of cricket, England have resumed cricket in their country at the closed doors against West Indies. At other end, Australia have announced their schedule for this year's cricket with adding the schedule for Big Bash League ( both men and women ). Likewise, when we think of South African Cricket, they have announced that they are gonna be playing a charity, fund raiser match. This news was further developed as an innovative idea of bring up a new format called as Three Team Cricket, which is also known as "3TC".
Everybody where wondering that, how this match would be staged with featuring three teams. They have clearly announced that each team consists of 8 players with there is an option of last man standing. These three teams were named as Kites, Eagles and Kingfishers.
Today, this match have been staged. In this match, as per the toss, Kingfishers were the first one to bat, with Kites bowled out the first while Eagles remained at the dug out first. Basically, it is 12 overs per side. But this is will be played 6 overs at first half, and another 6 overs in the next half. Also, during the first half, all the three teams would bat 6 overs each and in that which team tends to score most runs among the three will be batting bat first at the second half.
Kingfishers scored 56/2 at the end of 6 overs. After the end of this stage, Kingfishers immediately moved to bowling with the team at the dugout, Eagles, came into bat, whereas the bowling team, Kites, went back to the dugout. Eagles scored 66/1 at the end of 6 overs. Then, as a switch and swap process, Eagles went to bowl, with the team at the dugout, Kites came into bat whereas Kingfishers went back into dugout. Kites scored 58/2 at the end of 6 overs. This is the end of the first half.
As Eagles scored the most number of runs, they were asked to bat first at the second half, with Kites being the second most run scorer, asked to bowl. Eagles continued from 6 overs of score, and with some much most blistering strikes from both Markram and De Villiers scoring quickfire fifties. Eagles finished off with 160/3. Kingfishers came into bat, and they were restricted to 113/5, with a good bowling from Eagles. Kites finally came into bat, and scored 138/3, with Kingfishers bowling.
So, as Eagles scored more amount of runs, they were awarded Gold Cup whereas Kites and Kingfishers have scored second and last most amount of runs. So these two teams were awarded Silver and Bronze Cups Respectively. This experiment went well. Other than a fund raiser, this is staged also for the opposition of racism in their country.
