Australia - England Series News
Cricket Australia (CA) and England Cricket Board (ECB) have agreed upon to play a limited overs series during the month of September. Already, they have reported that, both Australian and English Cricketers will miss on the first week of Indian Premier League ( IPL ), due to COVID-19 restrictions imposed by both Board of Cricket Council of India ( BCCI ) and United Arab Emirates' Government.
Right now, the schedule and Australia's 21 member preliminary squad have been announced. Riley Meredith, Josh Phillippe and Daniel Sams, Big Bash trio, have been added in the squad. They are yet to make a International debut and this series would be a perfect start for them.
Whereas, notable names like Darcy Short, Travis Head, Ben McDormett, Usman Khawaja and Michael Nesser, are the few prominent names to be omitted from the squad. Whereas the likes of Glenn Maxwell, Nathan Lyon and Marcus Stoinis are recalled for the squad.
Also Andrew Tye, who has received a state contract in the last year, has been included in the squad. He has been last seen in the international circuit during 2018.
Cricket Australia ( CA ) have got clearence to travel UK. There, they will playing 4 warm up matches against Derby before kick starting their series on September 4th. This series will consist of 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs, with those ODI matches will come under ODI Super League. All the 3 T20Is will be played at Rose Bowl, Southampton whereas all the 3 ODIs will be played at Old Trafford.

September 8 - Third T20I ( Rose Bowl, Southampton )

This marks the first limited over series between two major teams post Corona Pandemic.
