Eng - Aus cricketers, set to miss the first week of IPL 2020

As per the protocols set by both BCCI and UAE Government, a player should clear two COVID_19 Tests Negative before reaching UAE and after arriving UAE, he needs to undergo quarantine for a week's period of time, in which he would be undergoing 3 tests on Days 1, 3 and 6 respectively. After clearing all these tests Negative, fifth day of each and every week, COVID_19 tests will be undergone. This procedure is followed not only in India but also it is mandatory for Overseas Cricketers.

As there were series between England and Australia, which would be concluded on September 16. But, each and every IPL Franchise sent a request to BCCI, as moving from one bubble to another bubble won't cause issues. Also, they asked to carry their previous test results from their country and after arriving UAE, they wanted to start off directly. Meaning that, they won't be a part of 7 day quarantine period, as they have been under bio bubble for weeks at their country.

But, this request has been neglected by the BCCI, as this is mandatory to maintain strict protocols. Number of cases in each country vary due to many reasons. Hence, taking such risks isn't encouraged. So, cricketers from Australia and England won't be available during the first week of IPL 2020.
