NZ Cricket Schedule 2020 - 21

New Zealand Government has finally approved to resume cricket in the country and also given no objection certificate to travel overseas for away cricketing tours. With this exciting whirlwind news, New Zealand Cricket has finally proposed their plans to play tours during the season 2020-21. As already, there is a great upcoming clash between India and Australia during late 2020, Kiwis' cricket tours were even more crunchy and finally the return of cricket has been almost 75 %. Still, the presence of audience is the only factor, which is bring normalcy back, all over the world.  

When we look into those tours, some where yet to be confirmed, but still right now, four tours were actively given green signal and fixtures for those series were released officially. In these, the first one is up against the Windies, at New Zealand, where these teams would be playing 3 T20Is, as a part of preparation towards 2021 ICC T20 World Cup and also meeting at 2 test games. This series begins on late November and gets concluded during mid December.

NZ vs WI, 2020

1st T20I - 27th November, Auckland
2nd T20I - 29th November, Maunganui
3rd T20I - 30th November, Maunganui

1st Test - 3-7 December, Hamilton
2nd Test - 11-15, Wellington

Followed by the series, there is a home clash between New Zealand and Pakistan, which will be held simultaneously during India vs Australia series. So, Rivals VS Rivals !!

This series begins with just 2 days gap on 18th of December and gets concluded on 7th January of 2021. This series too has 3 T20I games and 2 Test Games

1st T20I - 18th December, Auckland
2nd T20I - 20th December, Hamilton
3rd T20I - 22nd December, Napier

1st Test - 26-30 December, Mount Maunganui
2nd Test - 3-7 December, Christchurch

Then, there is an away tour between Australia and New Zealand, which is yet to get confirmation. But, following this, there is a home tour against the same Aussies. This series consists of 5 T20Is. So, the preparation for 2021 T20 World Cup and also the craze towards T20 Cricket is seen here. These match were played during late February to early March.

1st T20I - 22th February, Christchurch
2nd T20I - 25th February, Dunedin
3rd T20I - 3rd March, Wellington
4th T20I - 5th March, Auckland
5th T20I - 7th March, Tauranga

Finally, the season ends with a home series against Bangladesh, whom seem to be a less tougher opponents but can upset any team across the world. Finally, this consists of ODI games. This series begins on 13th of March and gets concluded at 28th of March, 2021

1st ODI - 13th March, Dunedin
2nd ODI - 17th March, Christchurch
3rd ODI - 20th March, Wellington

1st T20I - 23rd March, Napier
2nd T20I - 26th March, Auckland
3rd T20I - 28th March, Hamilton

Happy Birthday Jonathan Trott

Happy 39th Birthday to Jonathan Trott. He was born on Cape Town, South Africa. He played his U15 and U19 matches for South Africa, but represented England national cricket team in 2007. He made his T20I debut in 2007, ODI and test debuts in 2009. His career is so short span but in this small period he made some impeccable performances which the England cricket would never forget. He has been named as ICC Cricketer of the Year Award and ECB Cricketer of the Year Award in the year 2011. He was also awarded Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 2011.
