Zimbabwe tour of Pakistan - 2020/21

After so much of speculations, Zimbabwean cricket team and Pakistani cricket team have agreed to play an limited overs series in Pakistan. This series will be a right one to resume cricket in Pakistan, after a halt due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic. Pakistan have recorded 3,19,000 cases with death numbers ranging around 7,000. In this situation, many would have thought that it might be a risk, scheduling cricket in Pakistan. But, Pakistani cricket board had pledged to provide both health safety measures and also prevention from any terrorism attacks. Other than that, as usual, players would be following same restriction. Cricketers from both the nations would be in quarantine period for a week, and then the tour will begin in Late October.

As per the timeline, the planning is arranged below in Chronological Order :

20 Oct - Zimbabwe arrival in Islamabad
21 - 27 Oct - Isolation period and practice
28 - 29 Oct - Practice at Pindi Cricket Stadium

Then the tour starts on 30th Oct, with a 3 match One Day Series

30th Oct - 1st ODI, Pindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi
1st Nov - 2nd ODI, Pindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi
3rd Nov - 3rd ODI, Pindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi

Then, on 4th Nov, Players will travel to Lahore for 3 match T20I series, with practice on 5th and 6th November respectively

7th Nov - 1st T20I, Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore
8th Nov - 2nd T20I, Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore
10th Nov - 3rd t20I, Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore

After this, on 12th November, Zimbabwean cricketers will depart to Harare. 

Along with this, Zimbabwe cricket has announced their teams for this away tour. 

Zimbabwean Squad : Chamu Chibhabha (c), Faraz Akram, Ryan Burl, Brian Chari, Tendai Chatara, Elton Chigumbura, Tendai Chisoro, Craig Ervine, Tinashe Kamunhukamwe, Wessly Madhevere, Wellington Masakadza, Carl Mumba, Richmond Mutumbami, Blessing Muzarabani, Richard Ngarava, Sikandar Raza, Milton Shumba, Brendan Taylor, Donald Tiripano, Sean Williams

This series will mark the first series for Chamu Chibhabha as a full time captain. 

Two uncapped players have also been added to the squad: 19-year-old left handed batsman Milton Shumba and 27-year-old paceman Faraz Akram. Pakistani Cricket Team is yet to announce their squad.
