There were numerous speculations that, the upcoming series between Sri Lanka and South Africa would be cancelled, as the previous series between England and South Africa has been cancelled due to the outburst of few COVID cases from both the squads respectively. Poor health precautions led to main issues, which shouldn't be happening in the further matches. But, Sri Lankan Cricket board has officially announced that the series will get staged, with team doctors travel to South Africa early and make proper precautions in the country.

This news brought happiness to the fans of South Africa, who saw England team returning back to their England on the call of players' safety. But, for staging, we need to have a squad to contest.
