WI Squad Announcement for NZ Tour - 2020/21
We have knew that, during the month of November, West Indies cricket team were scheduled to play an away series at New Zealand. In this tour, they will play 3 T20Is and 2 Tests respectively, with NZ Cricket team confirming that the series will take place with required safety measures. Also, it is expected that this series may feature the presence of audience, as the number of COVID cases in New Zealand is null. Yet, the players will follow safety protocols along with resting at quarantine period. West Indies cricket team might have been got into practice but for NZ Cricketers ( players who weren't present in any other domestic leagues all across the world ) will see this as a new normal.
Now, the news is, West Indies Cricket Team has announced their squad for both T20Is and Tests. In Tests, Darren Bravo, Shimron Hetmyer and Keemo Paul are coming back to the squad while surprisingly Shai Hope has been left out of the squad. They might have thought that he isn't in his prime form, but still a pure defensive batsman like him, is an all time asset which they ruled out. Still, this squad seems to be a tougher side for a pure fight.
