England tour of South Africa - 2020/21 News

There were lot of speculations that after the ongoing Indian Premier League, England cricket team will head towards South Africa for a limited overs series, with which many ruled out the possibility of staging this series as there were news that ICC is going to ban Cricket South Africa Team for South Africa's Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee ( SASCOC ) has looked into the internal affairs of South Africa's cricket board, which as per the rules of ICC, it is a violation. Besides that, right now, South African cricket board has officially confirmed the staging of this series, during Late November to Early December. 


The schedule dates have been announced with England's touring party members were expected to be named in the upcoming days. All the matches are expected to be held at Cape Town and Paarl respectively. The timeline schedule is arranged below :


16th November, 2020 - English team departs from London to Cape Town

21st November, 2020 - 50 over intra squad practice match at Newlands, Cape Town

23rd November, 2020 - Two Intra Squad practice matches at Boland Park, Paarl

27th November, 2020 - 1st T20I, Cape Town

29th November, 2020 - 2nd T20I, Boland Park, Paarl

1st December, 2020 - 3rd T20I, Cape Town 

4th December, 2020 - 1st ODI, Cape Town

6th December, 2020 - 2nd ODI, Cape Town

9th December, 2020 - 3rd ODI, Cape Town

10th December, 2020 - England team returning back to London


So for cricketing fans, the time is returning back as along with this there are IND vs AUS, NZ vs WI and NZ vs PAK getting held simultaneously, while for T20 Cricket fans, Big Bash League, Women Big Bash League and also Lankan Premier League.
