Australian cricket team named 18 member squad for Limited Overs Series against India

With Indian Cricket team, announcing the list of cricketers who are going to be a part of this great International Series against Australia in Australia, few days ago, just now Australian cricket team have named their 18 member squad for limited overs cricket. So, the test cricket squad is yet to be announced, but in this squad there are quite few surprises for Cricket Fans, and also some analysis needed to be done. For the case of analysis, this blog is being written below.

Australia's 18-member squad for Limited Overs Series against India - Aaron Finch, Sean Abbott, Ashton Agar, Cameron Green, Moises Henriques, Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, Glenn Maxwell, David Warner, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Daniel Sams, Kane Richardson, Marcus Stoinis, Alex Carey, Mathew Wade and Adam Zampa.

We have already seen in the tour of England, during which Maxwell, Adam Zampa, Mitchell Marsh, Mitchell Starc, shine as a glowing star, whereas most cricketers were on the downtrodden side. Still, they have featured in competitive cricket, in the midst of new normal, COVID-19 regulations. On the other hand, even though Indian cricketers have undergone the strict protocols in the grand Cash rich Indian Premier League ( IPL ), they still need some sort of experience in facing at International Standards, under new normal protocols.

Mitchell Marsh's injury has been under scanner, and his removal might be a big blow, as he has been phenomenal both with the bat and ball, particularly under recent times. Moises Henriques is a surprise package, as he is set to represent his national side after years. The reason given by selector Trevor Hohns is that "during recent BBL, he lead his side to a title win where his form has been scintillating, also an advantange particularly in T20s".

21 year Cameron Green's inclusion makes them to think forward about the future of National Team, and his domestic performances were quite magnificent, which he carried throughout this summer for Western Australia. Other than his batting, he's been a dangerous seam bowler.

Primarily looking into the addition of Daniel Sams, who were already present in the Australian squad during the tour of England, didn't get any chances to play. But, this time, the situation looks bit set, and if he proves in his chance, then Oh boy, he will definitely be in the regular 11. Along with this, Sean Abbott has been waiting for a golden chance, since he was present in previous Australian Squads as a backup fast bowler.

Pat Cummins's recent form is a major worry for Australia, as he is seen failing both in England Tour and also in the IPL. Stump to Stump line bowled quick short balls, threatening Warner, as well as the inswinger weakness for Finch, adding further worries to the squad.

Maxwell and Stoinis might be the key X Factor for the Australian cricket team in this series. Hazlewood's form is good and he needs to carry this form. His accuracy earns him the value. There will definitely be a competition to pick whom, particularly in spinners between Zampa and Agar. As Australian grounds support more of pace bowling, whom would be picked ? This is a focused question. Steve Smith's form is too important, as his recent numbers against the tour of England tour suggests his mere worries.

Of Course, pitches may differ, but when it comes to facing an equally strong pace attack but the result may look little tough meaning that this series will be one heck of a cracking contest !!
