You might be wondering, why West Indies are sending a squad comprising of local cricketers with many debutants ? and where are the senior cricketers, who are supposed to be ? Also, Bangladesh is a team in current cricket world, which is dominating with both bat and ball, but why this squad ?
The reason is that, the important key players have made themselves unavailable for the tour, as the fears of new COVID virus getting spread. Cricket West Indies have already mentioned that, players who are willing to take part in this COVID period can come, and if it isn't they can withdraw due to Corona fears and Personal fears. BY withdrawing, it doesn't mean that that particular player would won't be considered for the upcoming cricket.
So, the main cricketers have withdrawn with fear of COVID, while Fabian Allen and Shane Dowrich have withdrawn from the tour due to personal reasons. Thinking in a positive way, this tour will be a great chance for the youngsters out there to prove their best and find a permanent place in the national side, which is right now in need of young bloods.
If this young side wins the tour of Bangladesh, this will mark the beginning of great time for Cricket West Indies. If not, some effectively performed cricketers will get a consideration. So, it profit in two sides for Cricket West Indies.
